Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

How can we help you?

We don’t ever want you to feel like you need to go searching for answers to your questions. Your oral health care is personal to you and everyone has unique needs. We take the time to get to know you so that you can feel comfortable asking for information that's important to you. Your questions are important to us, too, because they allow us to give you the information you need to make sound decisions about the direction of your treatment.

Some of the questions we hear most often are shown below. If you have your own that aren’t listed here, please go ahead and give us a call. No question is too small, and we encourage you to contact us if you need more information.

Cosmetic Dentistry

Without a doubt, teeth whitening is the most popular cosmetic treatment available, and we're happy to offer whitening here at our East Brunswick dental office. Our whitening options are designed with your unique needs in mind. You deserve to be thrilled with the results, so the first step is to talk to you about your expectations, timeline, and budget. For your convenience, we offer both in-office and take-home whitening.

If you’re on a timeline for an event like a wedding or reunion, we can perform an in-office teeth whitening treatment. Using professional-strength whitening gel, we can help you achieve beautiful results in less than an hour.

If you prefer to have a bit more control over the whitening process, we will recommend one of our professional at-home kits. But you may wonder why our kits are preferable to those that you find in your drug store.

First, as dental professionals, we can prescribe a highly concentrated whitening gel that is stronger than anything you can purchase over-the-counter. Also, we customize a whitening tray using impressions of your teeth. This allows the gel to cover all surfaces of your teeth evenly for consistent results.

If you’d like more information about the beautiful results we can help you achieve with professional teeth whitening, please give us a call!

Dental Exams & Cleanings

We generally recommend cleanings once every six months for most patients. However, if we find you have periodontal disease or a tendency to build up plaque, we’ll recommend more frequent cleanings. Regular dental cleanings and periodic examinations also allow Dr. Dhussa and our team to detect and treat problems when they are minor and less expensive to fix.

Regular dental cleanings aren't just a good idea; they’re absolutely essential if you want to enjoy good dental health. Being conscientious about making and keeping regular appointments for cleanings can make the difference between a lifetime of healthy teeth and dental problems that seem to go on forever.

You may wonder why it’s important to have a professional cleaning if you already take care of your teeth. The reason is that no matter how well and how often you brush and floss, your toothbrush just can’t do the whole job. Using special instruments, our dental hygienist can get into all the nooks and crannies that you can’t reach when you brush at home.

Regular thorough dental cleanings are the best defense you have against cavities and gum disease. Please call our East Brunswick dental office and we’ll be happy to get you set up with your next dental cleaning appointment.

Dental Implants

We are pleased to offer financing that allows you to get the important dental treatments you need without waiting to make other financial arrangements. We accept all major credit cards.

We'll be happy to discuss your situation and come up with a plan to help you cover the cost of your treatment. Please contact our office for more information.

The cost for dental implants depends on several variables, including the specifics of your case. Several factors can change the total cost, including the need for a bone graft, the type of implant, the type of crown, and the number of teeth being replaced.

In general, you can expect to spend between $2500 and $4000. We provide convenient payment plans and seasonal discounts to make your treatment more affordable. Please give us a call for more information and to arrange a consultation to see if implants are right for you.

Emergency Dentist

We make every effort to see our emergency patients as soon as possible, especially if you’re in pain. In most cases we can get you in for treatment the same or next day.

If you’re having pain or another type of dental emergency, please contact our office.

When you arrive at our East Brunswick dental office, you can expect to always be greeted promptly by a member of our friendly team. Before you see Dr. Parikh, we’ll have you fill out some forms. This is important because we need to have your complete information to provide appropriate guidance about your dental care.

If you don’t have current x-rays, we will take a new set of detailed digital images so we can see the exact condition of your teeth. Next, we’ll perform a thorough visual exam and use this information as the basis for your treatment plan.

It may or may not be possible to do a dental cleaning since we need to know more about the current condition of your oral health. However, we know you’re busy, so we’ll do our best to get your cleaning done during the first visit.

Throughout your first visit, we will ask you to share your concerns and goals for a healthy smile. We know that you’ll see that we are a friendly team of professionals who have your best interest in mind. Please contact us today to make your first appointment at Four Seasons Family Dentistry. We look forward to meeting you and your family!

Invisalign

The cost for Invisalign varies depending on the complexity of your case. Generally speaking, you can expect full treatment to range between $3500 to $5000.

We’re happy to offer payment plans that fit your needs, as well as seasonal discounts that will help make things easier for our patients. Please contact our office for our current specials and to see if you are a candidate for Invisalign!
